I thought I might explain the whole "negative" number concept. All the days leading up to the transplant are negative numbers. Day '0' is the day of the actual transplant. All positive numbers, are days following the transplant. Just thought this might explain a little confusion, because I have had a few people ask!

Last night could not have gone smoother! Burns had no nausea, and everyone got a great night sleep and are ready to tackle whatever they have in store for us today! We will have the same 3 chemo drugs as yesterday, but since he handled them so well yesterday, we have high hopes for tonight! John has two more shots today, but he has been tolerating them well.

So so so glad yesterday and last night went well. God is good you are right Burns. Good luck today. Mary Marshall and William say hello mr burns and mrs Laura. Xoxox prayers are continuing

This is our blog to share the journey of a stem cell transplant between two brothers. Burns, who was diagnosed with CGD at age 2, and has been fighting the disease ever since. Burns needed at stem cell transplant in order to cure his illness. His older brother John, was recently tested by Dr. Rebecca Buckley, Burns' doctor since age two, and is a perfect stem cell donor match. With many prayers and advances in medicine, a bone marrow transplant is now an option for a "cure".

Here is where we begin our journey. Laura, Burns' wife, and Burns will be moving to Durham, January 1oth to be close to Duke. The blog will be updated by Laura, Burns, Derry (Burns & John Mom) John and Eliza (John's wife).
